Galata’nın kalbinde, Bizans, Ceneviz ve Osmanlı mirasını taşıyan bu yapı, yedi asırlık tarihiyle İstanbul’un en özgün kültür mekânlarından biridir.
Yapının temelleri Bizans dönemine uzanır. Ceneviz Kolonisi döneminde inşa edilen ve Osmanlı idaresinde yeniden şekillenen, Cumhuriyet döneminde kullanılmaya devam eden mekân, her katmanında farklı bir medeniyetin izlerini taşır.
Tescilli tarihi eser statüsündeki mekânımız, tarihsel yaşanmışlıkları ve özgün dokusu korunarak bugüne ulaştırılmıştır.
Kubbeli tavanları, taş duvarları ve tarihi dokusuyla Ceneviz Sanat, geçmişin ruhunu bugüne taşıyan yaşayan bir miras alanıdır.
Mekânın ortasında yer alan 6. ve 7. yüzyıllara tarihlenen iki devşirme mermer sütun, yapının kendisinden önceye dayanan antik mirasının canlı tanıklarıdır.

In the heart of Galata, this structure carries the legacy of Byzantine, Genoese, and Ottoman civilizations, standing as one of Istanbul’s most distinctive cultural venues with seven centuries of history.
The building’s foundations date back to the Byzantine era. Expanded during the Genoese colonial period and reshaped under Ottoman rule, the space bears the traces of a different civilization in each layer.
A registered historical monument, our venue has been preserved with its original character intact.
With its vaulted ceilings, stone walls, and historic texture, Ceneviz Sanat is a living heritage site that carries the spirit of the past into the present.
Two spolia Greek marble columns, approximately 1,600 years old, stand at the center of the space as living witnesses to its ancient layers.
